My professional story

TL;DR

I’ve worked as a designer and developer in varying capacities since around 2013. No matter where I’ve worked, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and collaborating with some truly talented and smart people. I’m deeply grateful for my opportunities to learn (and keep learning) from them!

The Long Version

I've helped scale some pretty cool websites and tools, collaborating across product and design organizations, including:

• Zendesk's Garden design system
• ServiceNow's Horizon design system
• Scribd's Ruby on Rails web app
• Codecov's visual identity & logo design
• Musicnotes' web and mobile app design

Since the very beginning, I've had a strong curiosity to learn things and find solutions to some of these really difficult challenges we face in the technical sphere. Even as far back as high school, where I probably spent a little too long in Photoshop.

What does Right Warp mean?

Right Warp, conceptually, is in opposition to what is known as a “wrong warp” in video game culture. A wrong warp describes when a player intentionally performs glitches in the game to complete it as fast as possible.

A “Right Warp” then is the process of intentionally and thoughtfully planning a course for project delivery.

Q: "What if I need specific technology/tools?"

A: Part of the joy of consulting is learning new things! Over the years I’ve developed a process to adapt with new tools relatively quickly. Chances are good I’ve heard of a service, tool, or framework you require, even if I’m not an expert. While I have some preferences, in general I’m flexible to use the tool best suited for the job, and am happy to discuss trade-offs!

If you have service integration requirements, I’ve worked with enough to know they all work in one of a handful of ways, and can quickly learn & integrate with them.
